When it comes to dieting you have to eat CLEAN, clean means protein from lean sources, carbohydrates from vegetables and little fruit and fat from nuts, oils, butters and cheeses. If you eat this way, you can't help but drop weight and lose body fat. The only things stopping you from doing so is YOU. Yes you have to stick to the new way of eating for a good 30 days before you can say it's not working. I know for a fact that if anyone and I mean anyone eats this way even if they have the stubborn 5 last pounds to come off they will soon get there! But you have to allow your body the time to change.
You can lose weight strictly through diet! Yes you don't even need to step into the gym, but there is a good chance that if you do go to a gym you will want follow the new way of eating better because you are creating a new life style for yourself.

Exercise at the gym should be challenging. Too many people get caught up on doing ONLY short intense exercise, other people ONLY want to do long runs on the treadmill. Whatever it is that you are doing just make it challenging for yourself. When you make it hard on yourself your body cannot help but change, make sense? Don't get too caught up with doing everything the "right way" but get caught up in doing everything in the consistent way.
You should look at dieting and training as a life style that you have to consistently work at. There is no right or wrong way but the best way is the consistent way.
